Show Choir

The Charter Day School middle school show choir is comprised of 6^th through 8^th grade students interested in music, dance, and acting. Students in this class work on a variety of music throughout the year ranging from art songs, holiday music from various cultures, and even contemporary Broadway and popular music. Each year show choir students perform a full-fledged musical – including costumes, sets, choreography, and singing. These students are also asked throughout various times in the year to participate in singing at school events such as Veteran’s Day and Christmas.  Additionally, students learn about proper vocal production, Solfege (and Kodaly hand signals), and leadership within a group setting.
